By accessing or using Informed Voices (“the platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
You may use the platform to participate in structured civic debates: take positions, post arguments and evidence, vote on posts, and cast final votes on topics. You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account secure. You may not use the platform for spam, harassment, impersonation, or to manipulate votes or results. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
Content you post (arguments, replies, evidence) may be moderated for quality and compliance. We may hide or remove content that violates our standards. You retain responsibility for your contributions. We do not claim ownership of your content but you grant us a licence to display, store, and use it to operate the platform and publish aggregated results.
Votes are final once cast. We publish aggregated results (counts, percentages, regional breakdowns) as described in our Methodology. We do not alter individual votes or results for political or commercial reasons.
You must be 16 or over to use the platform. We collect your date of birth at registration to verify eligibility and to ensure we comply with our terms. The platform is operated in line with these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Content moderation and account decisions are made by our team; if you believe a decision was wrong, you can appeal via the Contact page (use the subject “Appeal moderation”).
The platform is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that results represent the views of any population beyond participants. Debate outcomes are for informational and civic engagement purposes.
You can download a copy of your data and delete your account from Settings. Moderation and appeals are described in our Community guidelines; we notify you when content is removed and you can appeal via the Contact page. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use and retain your data.
