Structured Debate Platform

Structured Debate.
Informed Voting. Real Public Opinion.

There is a growing disconnect between the British public and the institutions that represent them. Social media amplifies outrage over reason, comment sections reward the loudest voices, and formal consultations are ignored. This platform exists to change that.

Core Principles

Built on transparency, structure, and genuine civic engagement

Structure over Noise

Debate format replaces free-for-all comments. Every contribution must be tagged and purposeful.

Informed Voting

People debate before they vote. Voting only opens after the discussion period closes.

Transparency

No hidden agenda, clear ownership, open methodology. See exactly how results are calculated.

Civic Utility

Results that mean something beyond the platform. Data designed for media and policymakers.

Mind-Changing Matters

Track how many participants changed their mind after reading arguments from both sides.

UK-First Focus

Relevant, timely topics that matter to British people. Regional breakdowns for all four nations.

Mission Statement

A structured space where informed debate shapes public opinion — and public opinion actually counts. Not just another comment section. A place where your voice is heard, not just counted.

How It Works

Four simple steps to meaningful civic engagement

1

A Topic is Posted

Every debate has a clear motion (e.g., "The NHS should be partially privatised"). Topics come from community submissions, parliamentary bills, or current events.

2

Choose Your Position

Before participating, you must choose: For, Against, or Undecided. This pre-debate position is tracked to measure mind-changing later.

3

Structured Debate

All replies must be tagged: Argument, Counter-Argument, Evidence, or Question. Upvotes are cast on quality of reasoning, not popularity of opinion.

4

Informed Voting

After the debate period (24–72 hours), voting opens. Active debaters receive weighted votes. Results show top arguments from each side and regional breakdowns.
